Ayurveda, is the Science of Life and Longevity. Longevity in the good meaning of living better, longer. Ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of healing similar to the Chinese system, is an art of daily living from a practical, philosophical and spiritual point of view – hence Ayurveda Lifestyles. Every day you can see in the Dr.Oz TV programs more and more about the benefits of the Ayurveda Lifestyle and Prevention.
The three body types in Ayurveda, called "doshas", are Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Each of these doshic body types uses metabolic energy in a unique way. Vata spends energy. Pitta manages it. Kapha stores it. Your body type effects your physical constitution, psychology and way of thinking. Each body type tends to get imbalanced in unique ways.
Ayurveda is a Personalized Healing according to the analysis of your constitution:
1. Prakriti – Determining one’s elemental dosha
2. Vikruti – looking for the elemental cause of illness or imbalance.
3. Applying therapeutic recommendations to balance the doshas.
The 3 Dosha's or constitutions are: Vayu, Pitta and Kapha.
Vayu: we have 5 Vayus Pran, Udan, Vyan, Saman and Apan
Pitta: we have 5 Pittas: Pachaka, Ranjaka, Sadhaka, Alochaka, Bhrajaka.
Kapha we have 5 Kaphas: Avalambaka, Kledaka, Bodhaka, Tarpaka, and Shleshaka.
Therefore, We have seven Prakriti (Dosha combinations) categories:

But to be more accurate they are divided in percentages in relation to the preeminence of a
dosha. Everybody has a combination of these doshas.
Once you know your dosha combination and dominant dosha, I can help you to know how to balance your body type with food, herbs, and lifestyle choices. Each dosha is essential to our physiology in some way. Each of them has a very specific set of functional roles to play in our body. When the doshas are out of balance, they can wreak havoc on our health. When they are balanced; we are not only healthier physically but in the good way psychologically and emotionally.
